Guidelines for the breeder and kitten lists
Birmakredsen’s lists are intended to make it easier to find serious, registered Sacred Birman breeders and pedigreed kittens. The following requirements therefore apply to everyone wishing to be listed.
Breeder list
DKK 50Per calendar year, from 1 January to 31 December. The listing is not renewed automatically.
Requirements for breeders

- The breeder must be a registered Sacred Birman breeder and have a registered cattery name with a pedigree-registering cat organisation.
- The breeder must state the club or organisation with which the cattery name and breeding activity are registered.
- Information on the list must be correct and up to date. Changes in contact details or cessation of breeding must be reported to Birmakredsen.
- The breeder must comply with applicable law and the rules of the organisation in which the cats are registered.
- Information about health, testing, breeding and kittens must be factual and not misleading.
Requirements for kittens and litters

- Only pedigreed Sacred Birman kittens may be advertised on the kitten list.
- The litter must be from a registered breeder with a registered cattery name.
- When submitting a litter, the breeder must state the pedigree-registering organisation and the litter’s pedigree or registration information.
- Kittens must be placed in accordance with the current rules of the organisation in which they are registered and applicable law.
- The list should reflect current status as accurately as possible. Breeders must therefore notify Birmakredsen when kittens are reserved, sold, or the litter should no longer be shown.
Verification and publication
Birmakredsen may request documentation of a registered cattery name, club/organisation affiliation and pedigree registration. Submitted information is only published once the requirements are considered fulfilled and payment has been registered.
What the list is not
A place on Birmakredsen’s breeder or kitten list is not an individual guarantee or endorsement of a particular transaction, cat or breeder. Buyers should always ask questions, review documentation and assess whether the breeder and kitten are suitable for the home the cat will move to.
Our principles
- The cat’s health and welfare come before shows, breeding plans and prestige.
- Buyers should receive honest information, advice and support.
- Kittens should grow up safely and socially and be placed responsibly.
- Breeders should continuously keep their knowledge of the breed, health, genetics and welfare up to date.
Birmakredsen has no members. Payment for a listing is solely for administration and publication on the website.
